It’s been over a year since my last post on my Journey blog, which I have now imported onto here. And it’s strange looking back on my last few posts because it’s made me realise what an adventure the last 13 months have been.
To be frank, I don’t know where to start. All I know is that I’ve missed the relationships I’ve built whilst writing this blog. So, I want to start blogging here again. Just carrying on from where I left off and hopefully reconnecting whilst catching up with my favourite bloggers and readers.
To bridge the gap of time, here’s a little update of what I’ve been up to and what I am currently working on.
Social Media: I’m freelancing as a social media content strategist and have just won a new client (last week) – whoop! My job is to either consult and/or manage brand social media accounts whilst working on content strategies to engage a target audience. I don’t work from home anymore (big yay!) and I share an office with other freelancers in central London.
Writing: I now write a blog for The Huffington Post and The Notebook Magazine, as well as my own lifestyle blog called King’s Road Rocks! I will also be writing the odd article for the odd publication or website this year, to increase my profile further.
Stories: I still write stories too. I wrote a novel (over 80,000 words) and think it’s so terrible I don’t want to look at it again. But I know I need to, if I want to get it into shape. But until I have the courage to glance at it, I have another novel which I am planning.
Images: Finally, this morning I bought an SLR camera which also shoots video. I am beyond excited about this! I can’t wait to upload more video and share my photos.
Latest addictions: Pinterest seems to be consuming my interest right now as well as Instagram. I’m still in love with Tumblr and am not entirely sold on Google+ as a rich source of content. Time will tell and we will see.
So that’s it in a nutshell, I can’t wait to fill in the gaps and muse about new stuff. I really hope everyone’s been well. It feels good to be back!
